As a mother and business woman, I’m passionate about creating order and driving growth. I founded Plan + Prosper Consulting with he belief that organization and clarity are key to success. I’m a self-proclaimed spreadsheet enthusiast (and proud of it!), and I firmly believe that math is the foundation of everything – providing the precision and structure that guide both my professional and personal life. Numbers are more than just figures to me; they’re tools I use to solves problems, create solutions, and help my clients thrive.
The College Years and Start of My Career:
My career in development and construction began while I was still in college, interning with the architecture and engineering firm PS&S. During the school year, I worked out of their Warren, NJ office, where I trained in AutoCAD and Arcview GIS. I spent summers in their Absecon satellite office, while they were involved in the construction of the Borgata Casino – a milestone that, admittedly, dates me a bit!
I earned both my Bachelor of Engineering with a Concentration in Civil Engineering and my Master of Science in Construction Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, providing me with a strong technical foundation for my future in development and business operations.
After college, I returned to Southern New Jersey, drawn toward a career in residential development. While I appreciated my time at PS&S, I quickly realized that I didn’t want to be confine to a desk – I wanted to be in the field, bringing projects to life.
For the next 15+ year, I had the opportunity to work for a diversified family involved in residential development, hotels, and restaurants, among other ventures. This experience allowed me to expand my expertise beyond construction, gaining hands-on insight into business operations, financial management, and large scale project oversight – all of which would later become the foundation of Plan + Prosper Consulting.
Responsibilities and Expertise:
Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in site development and construction management, overseeing budgets, approving payments, coordinating with design professional, and managing construction schedules to ensure seamless project execution – although we know construction projects are never seamless. My expertise extends to regulatory and contract oversight, where I have navigated complex permitting processes, negotiated contracts, and ensured compliance with both local and state regulations. Additionally, I have played a pivotal role in real estate and sales coordination, managing transactions from project inception to final out-sale.
Beyond development, I have taken on significant responsibilities in financial and operational management. I have provided business oversight and financial strategy, analyzing financial performance, leading accountant meetings, and conducting year-end evaluations to drive informed decision making.
My experience also includes personal finance and wealth management, where I have coordinated estate planning, tax strategy, investment coordination, life insurance analysis, and cash flow optimization to ensure financial stability and long term security. Additionally, I have handled daily operations and bookkeeping, managing financial processes, vendor payments, and strategic decision making for various businesses.
